EUROVISION 2009 WINNER -NORWAY ALEXANDER RYBAK FAIRYTALE -HQ STEREO

Eurovision 2010 has come and gone - I suppose we in the UK see it all as a bit of a joke - probably why we came last!
However last year's winner Fairytale by Alexander Rybak is one of my 'Guilty Pleasures' - you know - tunes you shouldn't like because it's not cool, but you can't resist them anyway.

I have to admit this blog is taking a while to get off the ground - lack of time is the major problem.

The 80s seem to be the in thing at the moment so I'm going to dig out some of my favourite tunes - watch this space!

It's only taken me a year to get around to posting on this blog so the first piece of music I will mention is one of my all time favourites

Just Like Gold by Aztec Camera, released on Postcard records in 1981 - I heard it on John Peel before it was even released and badgered the staff in HMV until they got me a copy.

I decided to start this new blog after having a look through my record/CD collection and discovering lost 'treasures'.

Basically this is my chance to ramble on about obscure bands and ancient crooners and reminisce about my younger days.
