Rumer
I was going to comment on the album by Rumer - 'Seasons of my soul' - but my ipod is playing up again so it'll have to wait

John Lennon 9th Oct 1940 - 8th Dec 1980
Today would have been John Lennon's 70th birthday and I suppose you have to wonder what he would be like if he were alive today.

My iPod isn't working at the moment - some how I managed to break the little 'lock' button when I was sitting on the bus one morning. I'll have to get it fixed, just a matter of getting round to it (and finding out how much it's going to cost)
I was slowly adding some of my favourite music but will have to hang on for now.
I still have some vinyl albums and singles (and cassettes), some I just can't bare to let go of, others I need to transfer to CD as they're never likely to be issued on CD. I've bought a USB turnatble from eBay - fingers crossed it turns up safely and more fingers crossed that it actually does the job!
Anyway, a little bit of 80s indie music - Modern Eon - still have the vinyl album but as yet no turntable.

I want to mention a classic album of the 80s which was recently re-issued.
The Circle and The Square by Red Box.
The band's debut single 'Chenko' was released in 1983 and was followed by other singles such as 'Lean on Me', 'For America', 'Heart of the Sun'. The album itself was released in 1986 which is when I bought my original copy. The CD was 'retired' after a while and copies were selling on eBay for two and three figures! The original release is an excellent album including a version of Buffy Sainte-Marie's "Saskatchewan".
The re-release has some extra tracks and while not perfect it is well worth the price for any Red Box fan.

In Memory Of Owen Brannigan - Blaydon Races
Not the usual stuff but this is basically the national anthem of the North East of England - and I'm very proud of it!
